Jennifer Tee creates installations that reflect on identity, ritual and cultural hybridity. Using materials such as tulip petals, textiles and ceramics, she makes quietly powerful works about movement and transformation. For the Folkestone Triennale Jennifer will create an artwork titled; Ocean Tree. This mosaic work consists of hand backed bricks in printed by hand with design of sea creatures that can be found on the beach itself such as sea weed,  shells & ammonites. A number of these imprints will be covered with melted colored glass to highlight the effect. This mosaic sea weed tree will consists out of 5.500 individual bricks all laid in individually by hand on a site specific location on the coastal side of Folkestone itself.
